Wheeling, West [by God] Virginia and Flushing, Ohio are both towns along the Ohio River. The Ohio separates Ohio from West Virginia on its eastern border and Kentucky on the southern one. The word Ohio is derived from the Iroquis [Native American] word meaning good or large river. My grandfather used to say that the greatest feats of mankind were Flushing Ohio and Wheeling West Virginia. My grandmother and I always go to Colemans fish market in Wheeling for lunch when I am through. It was started by John Coleman in 1914 but the entire market dates back to 1890.You can get a good huge hot fish sandwich and fried potatoes for about five dollars. They serve eggrolls there too but I would not reccomend them. The money is better spent on a drink. And if you go just get a fish sandwich and fries. Just say fish and fries to the lady. There are a lot of other weird things you can get like alligator stew and stuff. But then you have to go in what is called the special line. And that takes forever.
