Cone Denim was the largest manufacturer of denim in the world around 1990. They were the supplier for Levi Strauss. This is one of the plants in Greensboro North Carolina. They got too big for their britches. And shut large parts of their operation down as cheaper overseas markets began to dominate the production sector of denim.
